FEC along with partners The Star Entertainment Group and Chow Tai Fook are proud to announce FJMT as the winning architect in a design excellence competition for a proposed hotel and residential tower to be built as part of the existing Star Integrated Resort Development in Pyrmont.

Three firms with local and international credentials contested the right to create the design, through a process which included community consultation. A Design Review Panel provided a recommendation on the submissions and FJMT will now work on a final design to submit to the Department of Planning and Environment. FJMT Design Director Richard Francis-Jones said the firm’s design vision “is for beautifully sculpted architecture that will seem to grow from the great sandstone of Pyrmont.”

The proposed scheme will include a 220 room Ritz-Carlton hotel and 150 luxury residential apartments.
