The FEC Quarterly, Volume 2

Keeping you in the loop with the latest updates on Far East Consortium projects.

Firstly, I hope this finds you healthy and happy. Certainly unusual times we have found our world in! Far East Consortium is incredibly thankful that we have been in a position to continue doing what we love through this time. Construction sites across Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast have remained open and forged ahead despite strict social distancing measures. We continue to plan new launches and sales continue to tick along in all markets. It is not to say things don’t look a little different. Working from home, virtual tours, webinars and zoom meetings are the new normal for us and so many companies as we adapt to continue to do what we love.

West Side Place

Stage 1 Completed, Stage 2 Under Construction
Completion Date
Stage 1: August 2020
Stage 2: 2023

Stage 1: Towers A and B

Practical Completion is only days away for West Side Place Stage 1, and will be ready for residents to move in come early August. The lobbies, amenities and the level of finish are absolutely stunning, and we are thrilled to deliver this incredible project to market. We worked with Move-in to secure and furnish the common areas with over 1,400 pieces of furniture to make residential amenities useful and homely. The retail arcade has reached full completion despite the challenges of COVID-19 on the F&B sector. We are close to leasing out several shops to fantastic operators, and in the meantime, a temporary coffee shop will be operational by the end of July. The Ritz Carlton is on track to open in 2021. With a limited number of apartments still available, contact us as soon as possible to arrange an inspection and secure your spot at West Side Place Stage 1.

Stage 2: Park and Gold Release

Construction at West Side Place Stage 2 is progressing well thanks to the incredible Multiplex team. Basement bulk excavation has been completed down to the bottom of the four-level basement. The basement level volume is around 72,000 cubic metres which is the equivalent volume to almost 30 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Perth Hub

Construction partner to be announced soon
Display Open
Address Wellington Street, Perth
Completion Date 2022

Details

It appears WA didn’t get the memo that a pandemic was happening. Perth is seeing an increase in demand, and with less supply in the market and restrictions eased, it’s showing itself to be a stable market in an uncertain time.

Construction is nearing commencement as we enter the final stages of our tender process for a construction partner. The dedicated project team have narrowed it down to just three potential builders, so keep a lookout for our announcement of the winning tender. From here, we expect to progress to construction as soon as the builder is announced.

Some other positives pushing the WA market are the 75% stamp duty rebate which is still in play for pre-construction contracts along with the $25,000 Home Builder Grant. Construction isn’t too far away, so to take advantage of these savings you’ll need to be quick. There are several other incentives for this project, including our massive $40,000 giveaway competition (ending July 31). It’s definitely a project worth checking out for those looking for an affordable investment.
